US Democrats in Argentina to Organize
Here is a note we got this week from a fellow Expat in Argentina, Yanqui Mike, its an invitation to be part of Expat history in Argentina! If you are a Democrat in Argentina, you will not want to miss this event.
'Democrats Abroad' are planning to establish a chapter in Argentina for the first time in their 40 year history.
We are throwing a big shebang Wednesday the 21st at 8:00pm at Thames 2334 in Palermo Viejo with free beer and good fellowship for all.
Every eligible US citizen there will become a founding member.
Folks can find out more about this really terrific organization and the good work it has done for US citizens living abroad by going to www.democratsabroad.org and can RSVP via a link at yanquimike.com.ar.
It's a chance to make a little history and leave something lasting behind here in Argentina when we leave.

Thanks for the plug, ExpatArg!
Like I said in my post:
"Democrats Abroad Argentina offers you something that you will cherish when that day comes...
irrefutable proof that YOU WILL BE REMEMBERED... as a good and decent person, who saw wrong and tried to right it, saw suffering and tried to heal it, saw war and tried to stop it ...in a way however great or small."
A big fan,
Mike
Democrats are republicans in sheeps clothing. Sorry to say but I find it deplorable you are in foreign countries. I just hope you stay away from their national politics.
We don't need ONE more reason for them to hate us.
NOT a big fan
MIKE
Ah, I'm sorry to hear about this, that the Democrats are spreading their filth even in Argentina. The Democratic Party is one reason I'm considering leaving the US to move to South America! Having done all they could to ruin the US, through mass third world immigration, multiculturalism, and socialism, they are setting their sights on Argentina. Too bad.
I remember a conversation, the guy was pointing out that if Americams voted consistently Donkey, the States would look like Argentina.
Pretty much correct.
I believe stem cell research should continue (privately funded as any productive activity), and adults should be able to go to bed with whoever adult they chose. But if you remember.... Republicans don't oppose that!
Donkeys..... just what Argentina needed.
Don't take me wrong, I don't consider the Republican Party a political utopia (that's why I like it), and unfortunately it's been following semi-socialist policies since the Antitrust Laws of 120 years ago.
But Democrats now seem to want full blown Statism.
I've never seen Republicans wanting full blown Theocracy.
But in the end, it's a matter of which party defends the Bill of Rights better.
What Argentina needs is not Democrats daydreaming about bacon - but American principles of RULE OF LAW, regardless of political affiliation (unless either party becomes openly against it! - as it's happened in both)
Remember both our federal countries are REPUBLICS before Democracies. Republic means "public thing", while Democracy means power of the people and it easily turns into tyranny by the majority.
I thought spending time in Argentina would make Democrats review their concepts.... not exacerbate them!
Why don't you just have a nice dinner - we all know the founding an expat caucus is just an excuse to eat.
